They say that the two things that are constant in this world are death and taxes. Death is considered as the ultimate end point for all things inhabiting this planet, from ashes we have been made to ashes we shall return. Maybe some of us had it seen it coming, has been preparing ever since for the day to come, and unfortunately, some of us had not. Hospice in green country is giving out support not just to those patients but to the family members as well.

For those patients who are terminally ill and is expected to not last long any sooner, hospice care is available for those who are in need of support in their last days. The service aims to promote physical, spiritual and emotional sustenance including to the members of the family as well. It intends to meet the goals of the client and grants them where they wish to spend their final days.

This kind of assistance or treatment can occur anywhere may it be at the home of the patient, a hospital or a nursing home. The most common setting is usually at the place of the patient where its family members serve as the primary caretakers. A team will be sent to provide support whether it will be at their house or at a nursing home.

According to an article from a lung cancer website, the main purpose of hospice care is not to treat nor cure the illnesses the patients are suffering. Instead, it allows them to be emotionally and physically at peace and let them enjoy the remaining days of their lives. They are actually encouraged to remain active and participate in the activities that they love to do.

The participant has the liberty to decide for themselves with regards to how they would want to use their time. For instance, if he or she decides to stay at home, a staff member will pay a visit for the patient. The team members are available anytime for assistance, unless otherwise advised.

Aside from taking care of the welfare of their clients, they also provide assistance to their daily needs such as helping them with their meal, laundry and so much more. And of course, their medical supports are also prepared, but still are subject to their chosen provider. Their care plan is actually being guided by their doctors.

Aside from those who are suffering from terminal diseases, later levels of Alzheimer and dementia are among the common illnesses where hospice care is needed. With a recommendation from the doctor, they are automatically qualified for the care service. After being advised, the symptoms are managed and comfort will be prioritized for the victim.

To be considered as qualified for this service, your doctor must make a recommendation to the direct provider or facility. It is also for those whose life has been shortened to six months or so. There are actually cases wherein during the program, they would still live longer than what was advised. For this case then, physicians are advised to recertify its patients for another six months or so.

Based from the senior living website, it was stated that people frequently wait a long time before starting the care. The reason was it may be hard to acknowledge that a loved one is nearly dying. The sooner somebody starts receiving the hospice attention, the better for the remaining months to contented and have more dignity.
