Regardless of the cause, fishing is done using very many methods and techniques and in some parts of the world Ballyhoo bait is a method of preference in comparison to other methods.

Every fisherman who have used this method before they could tell you of many ways by which one can successfully rig ballyhoo in order to set the perfect bait for fishing. There are many ways to rig bally and get the perfect fishing rod but we will mainly focus on the simple and easy method that can be achieved by anyone willing to put some work in.

Bally baiting is an easy method that requires almost no time to be executed and all you need to have is a freshly caught ballyhoo to be rigged. Bally fish is salty water dwellers and when one has one and is ready to rig, the first thing to do is dip the fish in a brine solution that is made of water, salt and some baking soda. The solution helps in killing any present bacteria and maintains the colour of fish.

On the eye of your hook put a small piece of copper and ensure to leave some hanging at the end for all of the leaders you make. With your bally and hook ready, insert the hook under the gill up to the gut and insert it up to the place it will reach as you carefully cultivate a way to avoid the fishing rod from slipping out by pushing up to the mouthy till the leader comes out through the stomach.

The hook is now safely in and all that is remaining is to secure it using more wire but before that, create an even surface of your fishing gadget by straightening and flattening the body of your bait. Use your copper wire to wrap all around the body and to make the fish firm around the hook. To make sure that your bait is firm enough, test it in the water.

When the test is successful and there are no annoying twists, this act as a sign that your fishing rod is now ready to be put to work. Release the fishing rod around twenty-five yards away from your boat and now you just have the simple task of waiting to give that joyous shout that there is a fish caught on the fishing rod and all you have to do is fetch and put your bait back to work.

This process is always most effective if fresh bally is used but if not available then frozen ones should be used and always ought to have been well thawed prior to rigging. The fish should always be in the brine solution.

As stated earlier, fishing is an activity that beats time itself and there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing it. There is a problem however when one does it with no consideration of the endangered species of the marine life.
