Weddings or any function for that matter can be quite stressful. As the bride or groom, to remember every nitty gritty detail is difficult. This is where event planners come into play. However, speak to them and see how you can get one involved if you really feel you need someone on your side also making decisions so that an outside party is not choosing their own decor over what you had in mind.

Do not feel overwhelmed. Sometimes you can hire a coordinator to help with specific items and you can do the rest. If finance is the problem or control, then set out the more intricate items for them to handle and you can do the rest by yourself. This will save you money and you will still have the benefit of a coordinator.

Time and patience is key. But for many people, this trait does not come easy which is why you leave your function in the hands of trustworthy people. Take this as an opportunity to let loose and relax.
