The Eight Essential Oil Alternative For Over The Counter Drugs

The natural essential oils before have been used already by a lot of people for the purpose of healing and treating the mental and physical ailments a person has. The compounds are natural substances, and thus, are not toxic to the body. Also, these are eliminated easily from the body. The over the counter drugs or the prescriptions contain some synthetic substances which makes it hard to eliminate and to metabolize by the body.

For the reason that body organs cannot break down the said compounds, it can be possible that these will end up in waste areas including fatty tissues and the brain. This will happen due to the passing of the synthetic toxins in the kidney, spleen, and liver. The most possible critical problem when this will happen is body normal functioning disruption because of toxins which are attached already to the tissues. In the following paragraphs, the different types of essential oil alternative will be given as alternatives for the OTC drugs.

First, treatment for congestion, colds, allergies, coughs, and sinusitis. Essential oils such as peppermint and eucalyptus have antiviral, decongestant, and expectorant properties. Bay, angelica, myrrh, thyme, spruce, and camphor also help relieve the sinus congestion when being inhaled. A laurel leaf essential oil helps the strengthening of a body resistance to viruses. This helps building up immune systems and boosting respiratory systems.

Second is for acne. The jojoba oil or also called as the carrier oil is known for balancing the oily skin and clearing acne. This can either be used alone or with the mixture of some other oils. Tea tree is an antiseptic which kills the bacteria that cause acne. It can also be used for the elimination of blackheads.

Third, treating athletes foot. Lavender contains healing and antiseptic properties. Tea tree also helps treating athletes foot and not just for acne since this has an anti fungal property. The birch and the geranium essential oils both have the soothing and the anti inflammatory properties. A lemongrass is used for drying and for deodorizing.

Fourth is treating backaches and other muscular pains. Qualities such as analgesic and anti inflammatory are present in helichrysum which are utilized to decrease muscular pains by lowering the swelling, improving the circulation, and lowering the inflammation. A rosemary has high camphor compounds providing a great warm to aching muscles. Other properties are soothing and stimulation for muscle relaxation and also encourages the circulation of blood flow.

Fifth is treating the burns and the cuts. The properties of lavender and tea tree include soothing, antiseptic, and healing. These are applied to abrasions and to burned skins. Properties of marigold, chamomile, rose, and geranium are soothing and healing which are used ideally for burns and for cuts treatment.

Sixth is treatment of psoriasis, rashes, dry skin and itchy skin, and eczema. Treating the inflamed skins is used by soothing and anti inflammatory qualities of chamomile, violet, and bergamot. Lavender, myrrh, and geranium properties are for healing the damaged skins. A sandalwood and a marigold treat itchy skin and dry skin.

Seventh, treating headache. The qualities of rose, lavender, chamomile, violet, helichrysum, and ambrette include relaxing and analgesic. For relieving tension, thyme, frankincense, and clary sage may be used. Eighth, treatment of morning sickness, nausea, upset stomach, and indigestion. A peppermint essential oil aids digestion. It is also used as tonic for people with low appetite and also helps treat morning sickness, nausea, and upset stomach.
